Jayanti Memorial Trust along with technical support from MCVTC conducted a one-day free cardiac camp at Triveni Baraha Secondary School located near Mugling Bazar, Darechok in Chitwan District, located 109 km far from Kathmandu on the southern part of Nepal. The Executive Director of MCVTC, Prof Dr. Uttam Krishna Shrestha with his technical team from MCVTC, led the camp. Additionally, the local partner, STEP, further organized the camp. QUEST pharmaceuticals supported in distributing the medicine for free of cost. Both the supporters actively involved in making this camp a success.
Although the community at Mugling was peri-urbanized, the populations yet encounter issues of inaccessibility to cardiac healthcare, contrary to the cardiac health care available in the capital. Thus, such cardiac treatment and consultations were of a significant boon to the community. In total 459 patients were registered and screened during one-day heart camp for any possible cardiac diseases. The camp received a great response and was conducted from 9 am to till 3 pm.
