The teams from the University of Colorado, Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center and Jayanti Memorial Trust have jointly conducted cardiac camp in Pokhara every year. This camp has shown major improvement in terms of crowd management, advertisement and most importantly screening of cardiac patients. There has been evident progress in the coordination and implementation of outreach clinics with the organizers and the local bodies and by far sets as the best example. This camp was not only attended by the newer cardiac patients but also by the patients that were previously identified by the same group of doctors in the past years. The teams were able to collect data of 611 patients screened at the camp site. Findings are as below:
On this note, we would like to sincerely express our gratitude to the Western Regional Hospital, Lomus Pharmaceutical and Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center for the support. This would not have been possiible without the extended support from the expert team from the University of Colorado. Last but not the least, on behalf of JMT we would like to congratulate Ms. Sabita Mainali JMT's liaison officer at the Western Regional Hospital for showing tremondous effort in screening patients for the camp. The result is truly appreciated by the Trust.
